Henry Cejudo, Dominick Cruz
In the sport of MMA, Dominick Cruz is a true legend. He’s won the UFC bantamweight title multiple times and is still one of the greatest fighters in the class at 36 years old. He’s currently attempting a last-ditch bid for the title, so his next move will be intriguing. Cruz is the No. 7 ranked bantamweight in the world and has won his previous two fights.
He is intent on reclaiming the division’s top rank and has stated his ambition to win the crown as quickly as possible. There are, however, a slew of other fighters with comparable goals. Including none other than the former bantamweight champion, Henry Cejudu. Henry and him share a deep history. Henry Cejudo defeated Cruz for the UFC Bantamweight title in the co-main event of UFC 249 on Saturday.
Post the fight, Cruz claimed that Keith Peterson (referee) prematurely ended his championship bout against Henry Cejudo at UFC 249. Henry wasn’t pleased with that and stated in an interview “Dude, Dominic Cruz… Man, take it in the chin just how my knee hit your damn chin. Jesus, man you absolutely make me sick. This is why we need referees. It’s not like, oh let me get beat up, but let me see if these referees you know, give me the benefit for the doubt.”
The two are foes ever since and look for opportunities to bash one another for personal satisfaction.

Dominick Cruz shades Henry Cejudo and states who is the most deserving contender to get a shot at the title
In an interview with Schmo, Cruz was asked who according to him is next in line to get a shot at the title now that the score is settled between Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling. He shaded out Cejudo in his response, stating that he notices fighters using the word deserving but he himself would use that term.
He believes that he is fighting his mandatories and beating them. While fighters who aren’t even in the USADA testing pool for over a year are demanding a title shot. He explicitly stated, “Why are they even in the debate”.
He clearly is taking shots at Henry as Henry is currently demanding to fight for the title while not even being active in the USADA pool. The arguments raised by Dominick are coherent. The two might square up against each other. again If Henry makes a comeback at the title while Dominick can climb up the ranks and reach the title as well. The bout would be yet exciting as in the sport of MMA nothing is predictable especially when two former champs go at it.
