Former US President Donald Trump was in Las Vegas for the Nevada Caucuses, which he won without opposition. Trump is now the front-runner for the Republican nomination. Post-victory at the caucuses, Trump gave a speech in which he mentioned Sean Strickland, the former middleweight champion. Strickland is a resident of Las Vegas and was there to support Trump.
Donald Trump is a big fan of MMA and a close friend of UFC CEO Dana White. Moreover, he has close relationships with former title challengers Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. However, he might have found a new ally in Sean Strickland. Nonetheless, this is what Trump said about Strickland in his speech.

Donald Trump was in attendance at UFC 296 to support Colby Covington. However, Covington lost the fight and had a lackluster showing. Preluding UFC 296, Strickland had criticized Covington for his sycophantic relationship with Trump. Covington also criticized Strickland for his alleged misogynistic remarks.
Sean Strickland’s political views closely align with Donald Trump. Therefore, it was no surprise to see Strickland support Trump in Vegas. Man, other fighters also support Trump. To name a few, they are Justin Gaethje, Eddie Alvarez, Bo Nickal, and Beneil Dariush.

Sean Strickland headlined the first PPV of 2024, UFC 297. However, he lost the middleweight title to Dricus du Plessis via split decision. However, after the loss, Strickland and his fans on social media expressed their opinion that the judges robbed Strickland of a victory.
Nonetheless, Strickland was in a delighted mood in Las Vegas, where Donald Trump gave his speech after victory at the Nevada Caucuses. Trump shouted out Strickland, and the two even had a hilarious face-off. Fight fans jokingly alluded that Trump might be supporting Strickland now, ditching Colby Covington. Even though Covington and Strickland alluded to the same core beliefs, they are very much at odds with each other.
Strickland even took a picture with Donald Trump in Vegas. Influencers Steve Deleonardis, Aaron Steinberg, Kyle Foregeard, businessman John Shahidi, and golfer Bryson DeChambeau were also in the picture. Strickland has long advocated against influencers and has publicly stated his disregard for them in his appearance on the Full Send podcast.
