Poirier is currently ranked #3 in the lightweight division and said that despite his loss to Justin Gaethje, he is looking to make another run at a title shot soon. Dober considers him a fairly tough contender. Post-victory, Dober has also mentioned that every time he has entered the rankings, he has fought a fighter ranked below him. He wants to remedy that by taking up bigger challenges.

Following his victory over Glenn, Dober had also suggested Chandler as a viable opponent. He had quite a few things to say when speaking at the UFC Fight Night 229 post-fight conference. One notable thing he said was that McGregor would not return anytime soon. Dober also offered to be a backup for McGregor Vs. Chandler. Moreover, he is hopeful that Chandler will accept the 5’9 southpaw as a warm-up to McGregor in the future.

Coming off a disappointing loss to Matt Frevola. on May 6, this was a very important win for Dober. He was able to land a swarm of heavy punches and face-jabs throughout the first round. Midway through the first, Glenn was brought to his feet; after Dober had let him recover, he scored two heavy left hands. Thus, putting Glenn back on the canvas. Eventually, he followed up with some mean ground-and-pound. This was succeeded by the final incapacitating TKO. As such, Dober is already considered one of the best knockout specialists at the 155-pound level.

Dober has fought against well-known opponents like Beneil Dariush and Islam Makhachev but lost on both counts. With his current win, however, the trajectory of his career can drastically change. He had pitched in Michael Chandler as a possible opponent soon after the fight, but nothing official as of yet.
