Dricus Du Plessis truly shocked everyone after his impressive win over fan favorite Robert Whittaker at UFC 290. Du Plessis knocked out the Australian in an impressive manner, which caused ripples among the MMA community. The South African’s impressive win was not the only highlight of the night. After his fight, Du Plessis called out current Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
Adesanya entered the ring and had a heated face-off with Du Plessis, where many insults were traded and the N-word could be heard. When asked about the exchange during the post-fight backstage interviews, Du Plessis replied by saying, “Im prepared for whatever he says he’s behaving like a clown, that’s not how a champion behaves he’s behaving like a child.”
Dricus also said, “Conduct yourself like a champion, people are looking up to you and you behave like that? If he wants to sell tickets that way, very well, I will sell them my way.” When asked about his game plan for the Adesanya fight, Du Plessis sounded very confident and believes that he will knock the “Stylebender” out.
The fight between the two middleweight warriors will for sure be one of the most entertaining and interesting ones to watch, as both fighters will give a good build-up to the fight with trash talk and social media banter. Israel Adesanya will have to train hard for the fight, as his clash with arch-rival Alex Pereira showed his flaws and gave the other competitors something to work on.
Israel Adesanya links up with Heavyweight champion Jon Jones

Israel Adesanya is one of the most dominant middleweight champions in the history of the division. He has defeated every fighter almost twice in the division and has conquered UFC legends too. Another fighter with this kind of resume is heavyweight champion and UFC legend Jon “Bones” Jones, who has defeated every challenger that has come his way and has dominated absolute warriors.
Adesanya had posted on the newly launched META app known as Threads that he met up with Jones in Las Vegas. The duo had a serious beef in 2018 when Izzy was rising to fame in the MMA community. Jones didn’t like that, which resulted in a back and forth through social media. The fighters have squashed their beef and had a very friendly meetup in Sin City.
During their meet up, the two fighters engaged in some light sparring and some friendly banter. Adesanya also trolled some fans when he posted a photo of him and Jones sparring, which led the fans to speculate that their beef had reignited.
