Dustin Poirier is one of the most prominent UFC fighters at the moment. But like many other fighters, Poirier has not let his success and fame get to his head. The former champion has invested his time and money into building charitable organizations for the needy. One such wholesome act by Dustin Poirier was when he decided to take time off to spend it with a cancer survivor.

Fans saw Dustin Poirier’s passion for his charity on many occasions. One such event was when he decided to use a charitable donation to squash the beef with Conor McGregor. The two fighters raised approximately $26,000 for charity with their fight. Conor McGregor was even inspired by Poirier’s charity work that he donated $500,000 to his charity organization called “The Good Fight.”

In a recent youtube upload by ESPN, we can see another example of the UFC fighter’s kind heart. A young cancer survivor had requested to enjoy a sparring session with his favorite fighter, Dustin Poirier. This was his biggest wish after being successful in his battle against the life-threatening disease. Poirier was touched by the boy’s wishes and decided to take time off his day with the youngster.

Such small actions by prominent personalities like Dustin Poirier go a long way in setting an example for everyone else in society. Humanity needs to be more valued than fame, money, or anything else that’s superficial.
