Rising UFC prospect Themba Gorimbo has had one of the most inspiring MMA careers. Gorimbo had a very tough early life and has reached the UFC due to his hard work. He did not have anywhere to live and used to sleep on the couch at his gym. However, Gorimbo’s life changed when Hollywood actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson gifted him a house. Johnson recently surprised Gorimbo with a new gift for the Zimbabwean fighter.

Johnson took to Instagram where he revealed Gorimbo’s story as well as a heart-touching gift for him. He pinned down a heartfelt note for the fighter and appreciated his kindness. Johnson said that Gorimbo is now calling his family to live with him from Africa at his new house. He said, “Welcome home my brother and I will get you that couch as a keepsake reminder of your $7 bucks journey“.

The Rock revealed that Gorimbo had only $7 in his pocket after his last fight in the UFC. However, Gorimbo spent his fight money on building a bush pump for his village in Zimbabwe so they could get access to clean water. This act of kindness led Johnson to appreciate the good heart of Gorimbo and said that he is “pulling for him to succeed”.

Despite earning himself a fully furnished house, Gorimbo wants to go back to his couch during fight camp. There is no doubt that the kind gesture from Johnson is highly appreciated by fans all around the world. Fans will look forward to seeing Gorimbo succeed in the future.

Johnson’s act of kindness for Gorimbo was personal for the former wrestler as he himself was struggling to make ends meet. However, he is now one of the most successful actors in Hollywood. His gesture was met with a lot of love including appreciation from UFC President Dana White.

White spoke about Johnson’s gesture during a “Dana Whites Contender Series” press conference. He believes that Johnson is a very wealthy man and has the potential to buy every fighter on the UFC roster a new house. He said that Johnson connected with Gorimbo on a personal level as the Rock himself had to struggle a lot in his early days.

There is no doubt that Gorimbo has earned everything that has come his way. Johnson believes that he is a small part of Gorimbo’s journey and is honored to be a part of it. Fans will look forward to seeing the two back together again.
