Former rivals of Conor McGregor: Chad Mendes and Eddie Alvarez fought in a bare-knuckle boxing fight at BKFC 41. The fight was the co-main event of BKFC 41 and featured an action-packed five rounds. Both fighters dropped each other with their devastating powers. However, after the fight, both fighters got asked about the involvement of Conor McGregor at the event.

Eddie Alvarez said, “I thought he told an uppercut for me to do it. But, I thought, and I overheard that he (McGregor) was helping him (Mendes). I think he was playing both sides, I don’t know.” Two judges scored the contest 47-46 for Alvarez, and one scored it for Mendes. Hence, Alvarez won his BKFC debut with a split decision over Chad Mendes.

Eddie Alvarez predicts an easy victory for Conor McGregor against Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor

The former UFC champion Alvarez had fought McGregor and Michael Chandler in his career. He lost to McGregor at UFC 205 but has a win over Chandler in his Bellator days. However, Alvarez feels the upcoming fight between McGregor and Chandler is not hard to predict.

He said, “If I had to guess, Mike Chandler doesn’t wrestle. If he stands with Conor, Conor’s going to knock him out. It’s a mismatch. Mike Chandler’s defense sucks. He doesn’t have good defence, boxing. He throws bombs, but Conor’s way too fast, way too quick to get hit with anything Mike Chandler is throwing.

McGregor will return later this year to fight Michael Chandler. However, Alvarez feels that Chandler does not possess good defense to keep up with McGregor’s striking.
