Darren Till offered his perspective on Conor McGregor‘s career trajectory in an interview with SportsLens. He also candidly assesses YouTuber turned boxing star KSI during the interview. The former UFC fighter delved into his insights about the UFC and its influential figure, Dana White.
Till holds the belief that Conor McGregor might not return to the octagon. McGregor’s journey took a significant turn in July 2021 when he suffered a severe leg injury against Dustin Poirier. This marked his most recent appearance in the octagon. Till gave his perspective on the future of McGregor. He said, “No I don’t. I don’t think anyone can. Conor’s never coming back in my opinion. Conor’s struggling to let go. He doesn’t want to let it go. But it’s time to let go. He’s older, he doesn’t train like he used to. He’s got the money and his beautiful kids and the only problem is that he just does not want to let it go.” (H/T MMA Mania)
Over the following two years, “The Notorious” underwent an extensive rehabilitation process and faced challenges obtaining clearance from USADA for his eligibility. Uncertainty looms in the air as McGregor contemplates a potential comeback to the octagon. The Irish fighter’s failure to re-join the USADA drug-testing regimen fueled skepticism among fans and fellow fighters. This has led to questions about his intentions regarding his return to fighting.
Darren Till is diligently preparing for his reentry into the fighting arena. The former UFC middleweight contender has stayed away from competitive action since December 2022. His last fight culminated with a third-round submission loss to Dricus Du Plessis. After his performance at UFC 282, Till will now test the free agency for the best offers.
Darren Till thinks Conor McGregor’s friend Dillon Danis will not fight Logan Paul
Dillon Danis and Logan Paul are scheduled to fight in October. Mike Perry is the backup fighter in case Danis pulls out. Danis has a history of not showing up. Darren Till firmly believed that Dillon Danis would never enter the ring.
Till was clamoring for the backup role, which eventually went to Mike Perry. In his exclusive interview with SportsLens, he has put his name to fight Logan Paul or Mike Perry if something terrible happened to the card. Darren Till left the UFC in the hope of finding success elsewhere. Grappling deficiency is what caused Till’s demise in the UFC. Till is an excellent striker, and boxing could easily fit the British fighter.
Darren Till’s main target at the moment remains Mike Perry. Till aims to compete with Mike Perry. It could happen in the boxing ring or a BKFC ring. Perry has risen to become one of the stars in bare-knuckle boxing, and a fight with Till in England could further elevate his superstardom.
