Daniel Cormier
Daniel Cormier has been one of the prominent personalities of MMA in recent years. Cormier has achieved a lot during his career in the UFC and has equally contributed to the sport by continuing to commentate in the UFC. D.C. started his professional MMA career in 2009 after a very successful wrestling career. D.C. made his UFC debut in 2013 and went on to become a two-divisional champion in the Light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. Cormier is among 4 fighters to ever hold 2 division titles simultaneously in the UFC.
D.C. retired from MMA in 2020 after his loss against Stipe Miocic and since then, he has been working as a commentator in the UFC. D.C. has been accused of commentary bias frequently and many fans and MMA fighters have accused him of being biased towards one fighter during a fight. D.C has, however, denied these allegations and he believes he does a tough job that not many people can do.
Daniel Cormier faced a backlash from fans over his recent interview, where he cleared his name and denied allegations of commentary bias. Fans claimed that D.C. is not a good commentator and should not even be on the commentary panel. A fan even claimed that UFC president Dana White asks the commentators to hype up a particular fighter, and that’s why the panel is biased.

“I’m not apologizing”- Daniel Cormier denies allegations of being biased
Daniel Cormier recently talked about allegations of being biased while commentating in UFC matches. D.C. revealed that Joe Rogan helped him to cope with struggles he faced while commentating and he said that commentating is a very tough job and he works hard to prepare for it.
Many fighters have accused D.C. of being biased and fighters like Justin Gaethje and Dominick Cruz suggested he should work on his commentating. Bantamweight fighter Cody Stamann even asked him to apologize for being biased against him during his fight at UFC 216. D.C. clarified that he will not be apologising for doing his job.
Taking about the issue with MMA Junkie, D.C. said: “I know how hard I work at this. I know how much time I spend preparing for this. I know (what) I try to give these guys and tell their stories and do them justice. Sometimes, people just don’t see what you see and that’s really on them. But I’m not apologizing for doing my job, and I think that’s the beauty of being a fighter.”
