UFC Vegas 59 featured the much anticipated welterweight bout between Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal. The co-main event bout kicked off as both the fighters looked sharp and Neal started the assault from the get go. The mindset of the fighter was pretty clear as he continuously gave a hard time to Luque with his punches. Luque tried his level best to throw Neal off his momentum but all the efforts were futile.
After two rounds of frequent exchanges and hardcore MMA action, Neal finally dropped Luque in the third round. In the finishing sequence, Neal was relentless as he hit Luque with his huge left and followed it with nine devastating upper cuts. It was enough to stop Luque who wasn’t at the top of his game in the fight. As soon as Luque fell on to the canvas the referee rushed in and stopped the fight and Neal was announced the winner via TKO.
This was the second consecutive loss for Vicente Luque. Vicente’s last fight against Belal Muhammad ended in a loss for him as the decision went n favour for Muhammad.

Fans gave mixed reactions as nobody thought Luque would lose that easily. Many fans were amazed by the performance of Neal.
A fan commented that a performance like this from Luque was very unexpected but his opponent came prepared which made the fight great. He wrote :
“Didn’t think tonight as gonna be the night to see Luque dominated and knocked out like that. Neal looked crisp. Best fight he ever fought.”
Another fan looked disheartened after he saw Luque being finished like that. The user mentioned that this might be it for Luque.

An user claimed that Luque’s prime days are gone- “Eh luque was just standing there doing nothing lol he’s washed up now”
One user pointed out the most obvious narrative, Luque was once in the race of the welterweight title, and now he is loosing to fighters ranked lower than him.

Many fans liked the way Neal finished the fight and complimented the fighter for his skills.
A user hilariously made a UFC video game reference as Neal continued to land uppercuts like a character in the game. The user wrote :
“Bro spammed upper cuts like he was in UFC 4. vicious.”
