“Fight was rigged” – Fans BLAST “disgusting promotion” UFC as Sean O’Malley defeats Petr Yan via controversial decision at UFC 280

Sean O’Malley winning the fight against Petr Yan has caused absolute chaos in the MMA world. The rising bantamweight star defeated the number one title contender by a controversial split decision at UFC 280.

The entire MMA world was tuned into watching the amazing Petr Yan take on bantamweight superstar Sean O’Malley in an amazing three-round fight at UFC 280. However, they sure were not ready for how the fight ended. The former bantamweight champion lost to the up-and-coming talent via a controversial decision.

O’Malley and Yan were in an absolute slugfest at UFC 280. The two fighters threw haymakers at each other and surprisingly went to the distance despite taking some heavy blows. After three rounds, despite some amazing moments from “Suga” very few people believed the rising star to have won the fight.

Two judges scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Suga Sean while one judge scored the fight in favor of the former champion. When the results were announced, the entire Twittersphere went into a frenzy. Petr Yan could not believe he lost the fight after having put on what was a spectacular show of fighting.

Fans speculated that the UFC has purposefully rigged this fight given the potential star power Sean “Suga” O’Malley has and there is denying no that fact.
