Kevin Holland and Jack Della Maddalena are two of the most exciting fighters in the welterweight division. The UFC booked them to fight at UFC Noche. Holland has come to his own in the last two fights with impressive finishes. On the other hand, JDM has a crisp boxing style that helps him outstrike his opponent.

Both fighters needed to win to secure a match-up with the top 10 of the welterweight division. JDM and Kevin Holland started by exchanging strikes technically. Both fighters have the potential to go for an all-out brawl. However, they decided to engage in a technical warfare. JDM won the first round, and Holland returned strong in the second.

Della Maddalena had more technical strikes as the fight progressed, whereas Holland used kicks and elbows to hurt JDM. The boxing style of Della Maddalena made it difficult for Holland to find the range and strike. However, Holland made the fight ugly with some nasty elbows and dirty boxing. Surprisingly, he even went for a takedown, which JDM stuffed.

The fight may not have delivered what the fans expected. The decision went in favor of JDM. Holland looked confused, and the audience booed the result. JDM will hope to compete against another top contender in the division. It was a close fight for Holland. He could fight another top 15 fighter to gain momentum.

The booking of Holland vs. Maddalena made the fans expect fireworks. Both have a strike-heavy game plan, and the bout had the potential to deliver the Fight of the Night. Fans did not get the fight that they expected. They also expressed disappointment with the result. JDM landed the cleaner punches with better efficiency. This may have helped him get the win.
