Fans are still not over the UFC president Dana White going unpunished for slapping his wife on New Year’s Eve. The promotion’s recent International Women’s Day montage received more backlash than praise from the fans.
On account of International Women’s Day, UFC’s official social media pages decided to post a compilation to celebrate the women in UFC. However, this has backfired on the promotion as fans were quick to call out the company’s hypocrisy. Twitter was filled with negative reactions to this video.
It is no secret that fighters involved with the UFC have previously shown bad behavior towards women in the past. And very recently, the company’s President himself was caught slapping his wife in public on New Year’s Eve. Dana White was criticized by the fans for barely getting any punishment from the company.
After UFC’s Twitter handle posted a compilation for International women’s day, fans also pointed out how the company’s newly crowned heavyweight champ has also been accused of beating his fiancee. However, Jon Jones and Dana White weren’t the only names to get dragged.

Fans were also critical that most of the fighters in the Women’s Day celebratory video were men. One fan on Twitter pointed out how the president of the company hit his wife, the heavyweight champion hit his fiance, and also bashed the current light heavyweight and bantamweight champions of parading Andrew Tate.
Jamahal Hill and Aljamain Sterling were seen showing support during the arrest of controversial influencer Andrew Tate. The promotion’s montage showed several female stars like Jessica Andrade, Ronda Rousey, Amanda Nunes, Rose Namajunas, and many others.

Your heavyweight champion hit his fiancé.
There’s a guy on *this weekend’s card* that beat his girlfriend.

It's for international women's day, you couldn't let them be the focus for one video?
whats the point of posting this if a third of the video is male fighters

Really? why even bother posting this if the video package is mostly men?

Despite all the backlash, women in UFC and mixed martial arts deserve to celebrate. The majority of the MMA fanbase has shown love to female fighters just as much as their male favorites. Stars like Ronda Rousey, Amanda Nunes, and others have paved way for several other women to fight under the biggest lights.
