“Guy’s been a coward his whole career” – Fans fear disastrous return for Georges St-Pierre as legendary opponent reveals himself
George St-Pierre will be making a return to martial arts at UFC Fight Pass Invitational, later this year.

UFC legend and former champion Georges St-Pierre surprised fans when he announced his return to the UFC. GSP will be returning for the UFC fight pass invitational in December for a grappling match. Fans have been speculating as to who will the former welterweight and middleweight champion be facing. His mystery opponent has finally revealed himself via Twitter, at least that’s what his post said.
The opponent that GSP will probably be facing is none other than UFC veteran and legend Demian Maia. Maia is a legend and has a reputation as one of the most dangerous grapplers in the sport. Maia tweeted “Every now and then, something comes up that still does really motivate you. Grappling Georges St-Pierre will be a huge challenge and great motivation”.
There were many other fighters that fans were speculating GSP to fight in December. GSP himself talked about his potential opponents in Kamaru Usman, Anderson Silva, and others. Fans wanted to see former lightweight champion and legend Khabib Nurmagomedov return in order to face GSP in a dream matchup. Maia for sure proves as a worthy opponent for “Rush”.
Maia faced some of the best fighters in the welterweight division, always posing a significant threat on the ground. He also developed his striking skills over the years, making him a more well-rounded competitor. Maia announced that he would retire from professional MMA after his final fight against Belal Muhammad in 2021.
