Ever since Alex Pereira had his first fight in the UFC, he has gathered a lot of attention. As a professional kickboxer, he was the Glory middleweight and the light heavyweight champion. The rivalry that Pereira and Israel Adesanya share is a topic of discussion amongst MMA fans. Pereira is noted for defeating Adesanya from his kickboxing days. Following up on Adesanya from Glory, Pereira even managed to beat him in UFC. Adesanya eventually got back the title in the rematch. In his last fight, Pereira moved up to the light-heavyweight division. He defeated Jan Blachowicz, the only other fighter to beat Adesanya in MMA.
Recently, a video of Alex Pereira trying to play golf has been going around, amongst his fanbase. In a very rough and hilarious manner, Pereira is trying to take a good shot. Again, mention was made about how he would master golf if Adesanya was the one competing. A fan wrote, “Let him find out Izzy can golf and he’ll be Tiger Woods within 6 months”.
The tension between Pereira and Adesanya is clearly visible. Pereira has been Adesanya’s only consistent challenge throughout his MMA career. In the UFC Adesany has first suffered defeat at the hands of Blachowicz, when he tried to move up to light-heavyweight. The Last Stylebender had already defended his title before his loss to Pereira.
As of now, there is no confirmation whether Pereira will return to middleweight or not. Adesanya however, has a fight scheduled for UFC 293 against Sean Strickland. Whenever Poatan and the Stylebender may meet for the trilogy, the MMA community will surely be on their feet. Their bitter rivalry has got the UFC fans shaking.

Alex Pereira was arguably the most feared fighter in the middleweight division of the UFC. For his previous fight, he went up a weight class to light-heavyweight. Pereira then successfully beat the former light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.
With such a fight resume, he has come under highlight once again. This time, it is for his hilarious attempts at playing golf. The fans have reacted to the video on Twitter.
Most of the comments by the fans were about the rivalry between Pereira and Adesanya. The tussle between the two goes back to their kickboxing days. Pereira and Adesanya have fought two times in the UFC now, a trilogy would decide their fate as rivals.
