“Khabib ain’t going to be happy” – Fans hilariously react as Daniel Cormier joins hands with Team Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier don’t have the best of relations when it comes to friendship between UFC personalities. Thus when Cormier is seen in a recent Instagram post with McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh, fans had some things to say about it.

Conor Mcgregor had called shots at Daniel Cormier in the past for certain comments by the 44-year-old retired MMA artist. Daniel Cormier is also good friends with McGregor’s biggest rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. He has been critical about McGregor disrespecting Khabib’s father during their tiff in 2018. Meanwhile, Conor had been vocal about Cormier’s commentary. He believed that Cormier showed biases during his fights. The two never bothered to settle their dispute and so it remained.

Therefore when McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh uploaded a picture with Daniel Cormier, it took fans by surprise. Kavanagh and Cormier reportedly trained together at Cormier’s academy as part of the Train Alta program.“What an experience getting a wrestling lesson from #olympian and @ufc champ @dc_mma today at @danielcormierwrestlingacademy,” Kavanagh wrote.

Coach Kavanagh and Conor McGregor have been together since the beginning. The Irishman has trained under Kavanagh since his early UFC days and still continues to do so at Kavanagh’s Straight Blast Gym in Ireland.
