Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has a match in under two days. The former titleholder locks horns with Kevin Dantzler in the Fury Pro Grappling 8 headliner, on Dec. 30. The event takes place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Sterling advocating his excitement for his featherweight debut at the UFC 300 card also had fans hoping for another title run. “The Funk Master” faces Calvin Kattar next.
The 135lber last lost his gold to 17-1 Sean O’Malley at UFC 292. Sterling, the submissions expert, posted some new pictures on X, ahead of his match. He captioned the image:

A prime reaction to the prompt read “Suloev stretch in under 5 minutes“. This refers to the Suloev stretch, which Sterling used on Cody Stamann back in the day at UFC 228.
Sterling submitted Stamann with a modified kneebar (Suloev stretch) in the 2nd round of their clash. With no bantamweight reruns on the horizon, the fighter had wished for a shift up. He even sprung Max Holloway into the equation as a “good stylistic fight” for his featherweight debut.
Alongside, on January 19th at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, submission maverick Sterling and Chase Hooper will meet as well. It is for a no-gi welterweight bout to headline ADXC 2. Nonetheless, fans are accordingly excited for the fighter’s future trajectory.
