“Half dressed power Ranger” – Fans react as Israel Adesanya sports viral Kanye West kickboxing shinpads in latest picture

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has once again landed on the bad side of Twitter. The fighter rocked the infamous Kanye West shinpads in training. This had fans in splits as they proceeded to make fun of ‘The Last Stylebender.’ 

Not too long ago, rapper and producer Kanye West made headlines due to his kickboxing-esque shinpads he wore. In the fashion and MMA community, the choice in style was heavily made fun of. This did not stop Israel Adesanya as he tweeted a picture of himself sporting the kickboxing shinpads. ‘Izzy’ posted it with the caption, “Can’t tell me nothing,” referencing one of West’s songs. The fighter posted a collage of himself and the popular rapper side by side as a cheeky comparison tweet for fans.

Israel Adesanya is one of the UFC fighters who are used to backlash. ‘The Last Stylebender’ is often named in the headlines due to one controversy or another. This time, it is his fashion choices. Part of the interest for fans was the fact that the New Zealand fighter is also a fashionista. In fact, Izzy’ often sports different and dynamic outfits. 

Although Israel Adesanya was confident, fans laughed at the middleweight champion. Fans also made Power Ranger comparisons to ‘The Last Stylebender’s outfit. Twitter went buck wild upon witnessing the New Zealand fighter’s ridiculous outfit.

On Twitter, fans had a field day after they witnessed Israel Adesanya sporting the infamous Kanye West shinpads. As they looked too close to a kickboxer gear, fans made fun of the popular rapper. Similarly, ‘The Last Stylebender’ became the subject of a joke as fans laughed at the outfit. A lot of fans decided to chime in and make memes and jokes on the social media platform. One fan tweeted, “Lookin like a half dressed power ranger.“

Israel Adesanya received huge praise after his previous fight against Alex Pereira. The New Zealand fighter took home the win despite losing three times to the Brazilian fighter. Though this is the case, fans often laugh at Israel in interviews and podcasts. The reigning UFC middleweight champion takes no break when it comes to backlash from fans.
