Rivals Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo had their face-off even before the championship fight. The two met face to-face at a hotel and the video of the interaction is going viral on Twitter.
Henry Cejudo will make his return after a long break from the octagon. Cejudo last fought against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 which he won in the second round. Cejudo is now ready to make his comeback against current UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288.
The two 135-pound fighters are some of the best the UFC has on its roster and they will go head-to-head at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey later this week. But the excitement surrounding the much-anticipated fight has already begun. The two fighters had an unexpected encounter at a hotel recently. Both shared a calm and respectful, and to the dismay of some fans, nobody tried to instigate or rile up any drama prior to the fight. After a brief interaction, the two went their separate ways.

Aljamain Sterling has received plenty of criticism since becoming the UFC champion. Sterling became the champion back in 2021 when he won against Petr Yan at UFC 259. Now he is ready to put Cejudo in his place and show everyone who the real champ is. “There’s no animosity, I don’t want that to come off that way. I’m not trying to force anything. I’m not trying to fake anything [but] the guy talks a lot,” Sterling said about Cejudo.
