Fans found an interesting problem with UFC 293 and UFC 294. Israel Adesanya faces Sean Strickland at UFC 293, whereas UFC 294 features the title rematch between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira. Disney, the parent company of ESPN, values all the pay-per-view events at $79.99. Fans found a problem paying the same amount for a weak UFC 293 card compared to a stacked UFC 294 card.

Fight fans did not find the UFC 293 other than the co-main event matchup between Tai Tuivasa and Alexander Volkov. On the other hand, the UFC 294 card is stacked. The pay-per-view card in the Middle East has always been stacked. The UFC’s business plans for the Abu Dhabi PPV card involve stacking it with top contenders from the region. Hilariously, in an X (formerly Twitter) post, a fan posted a picture of the two cards and captioned, “UFC 293 compared to UFC 294. Can you believe that they’re priced the same.”

Adesanya initially faced Dricus Du Plessis in the main event of UFC 293. Unfortunately, Du Plessis withdrew due to injury, and in came Sean Strickland. With Adesanya clearing out the division, Strickland got the call. Furthermore, the event also lost a high-profile flyweight matchup between Manel Kape and Kai-Kara France. Kara-France withdrew due to a concussion suffered during training camp.

UFC 294 headliner is a rematch of the fight that made Islam Makhachev the undisputed lightweight title. The co-main event is Khamzat Chimaev‘s middleweight debut against Paolo Costa. Moreover, the rest of the card is brimming with high-profile fights and contains all the ingredients for an explosive event.

Fans react to UFC 293’s inferiority to UFC 294

Fans brutally trolled UFC 293 for its relative lack of being inferior to UFC 294. Many criticized the UFC 293 card for having the same price tag as UFC 294. Moreover, some were even more devastated by losing Kai Kara-France at UFC 293. Furthermore, the matchup between Beneil Dariush and Arman Tsarukyan left some bewildered.
