Conor McGregor has come under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons recently. The Irish fighter and his legal team fought through an alleged sexual assault incident when he attended the Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Though the issue remains unresolved, the fighter also missed his deadline to re-enroll in the USADA Testing Pool in order to fight this year. It angered many fans, and so did his latest tweet.

Conor McGregor wrote, “Hey guys, I’m in the market for some Belgian Blue Bulls if anyone could direct me. To a good home, Ireland. Ample green land for them to roam. Thanks.” Fans did appreciate McGregor worrying more about his farm than fighting. McGregor may have overpromised the fight fans this year about fighting, and he might not compete after all.

When McGregor recovered from the horrific leg injury, fans were excited to see the biggest UFC star back in action in the Season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter. He also hyped everyone when he filmed scenes opposite Jake Gyllenhall at UFC 285. Even the promos for the TUF 31 showcased McGregor back to form with iconic trash talks at Michael Chandler. However, the fairytale return ended there.

After that, McGregor got into trouble at the NBA finals, delaying his return to the USADA testing pool. McGregor will likely not fight in 2023 due to not enrolling in the testing pool. However, there remains a bleak chance of his team finding some loopholes to compete in 2023. It happened before with Brock Lesnar in 2016. Hence, all hope is not lost.

Fight fans will need to wait until 2024 to watch McGregor fight. At the moment, the possible opponent remains Michael Chandler unless the UFC decides to go another way. The wait continues for the fight fans to witness the return of the Irish superstar.
