“Devin ain’t that guy” – Fans troll Devin Haney after shockingly low PPV numbers surface internet for Lomachenko fight

After a controversial win over the Ukrainian boxer, Devin Haney remains undefeated with a record of 30 wins and 0 losses in his professional boxing career. While the fight was able to sell out an arena, it was not very successful with PPV numbers. As per reports, the numbers of Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenko do not even come close to one of the biggest fights last month.

After his back-to-back wins against George Kambosos Jr., Devin Haney proved himself to be a very technical fighter. His fight against Vasiliy Lomachenko had both fighters showcasing their honed techniques as well. While the fight saw Devin Haney get outworked by the older boxer, the judges had a different verdict. The fight was scored in favor of the 24-year-old undisputed champion. While the event managed to sell out the MGM Grand Arena, it did not have the same response with PPV numbers.

According to reports Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia supposedly did around 150, 000 buys total with $59.99 per PPV. The numbers were not even close to Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis. The bout between Davis and Garcia did a whopping 1.2 million PPV numbers, even though it had a higher PPV price. The live gate revenue for the bout was also over 20 million dollars, which is again significantly higher than Haney vs Lomachenko.

With Devin Haney barely managing to sell his fights despite the world titles, fans question how is the boxer earning millions per fight. Boxing fans took to Twitter and troll Haney for falling short in numbers despite his championship status.

The Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenko fight is still making headlines for its controversial judging. While the fight had many people implying, that boxing is dying, the PPV numbers will solidify it even more. According to reports, the fight between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko did around 150, 000 PPV buys. The numbers were very low given both Lomachenko and Haney made millions out of their fights.

With only one WBC lightweight belt on the line, the fight pulled more eyes than Haney vs. Lomachenko. After the recent revelation, fans took to Twitter to troll Haney for not being able to sell his fights. The fight fans also question, “How is the boxing model sustainable if fighters make millions despite the low PPV numbers?”

Many fans claimed that the crowd was there to witness Lomachenko. They also added that Devin Haney does not deserve the millions of dollars for the crowd he pulled. Despite all the accusations and controversial judging, Vasiliy Lomachenko won’t be getting the rematch. Instead, Shakur Stevenson is possibly the next in line for Devin Haney.
