While the fight was able to sell out an arena, it was not very successful with PPV numbers. As per reports, the numbers of Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenko do not even come close to one of the biggest fights last month.
After his back-to-back wins against George Kambosos Jr., Devin Haney proved himself to be a very technical fighter. His fight against Vasiliy Lomachenko had both fighters showcasing their honed techniques as well. While the fight saw Devin Haney get outworked by the older boxer, the judges had a different verdict. The bout between Davis and Garcia did a whopping 1.2 million PPV numbers, even though it had a higher PPV price. The live gate revenue for the bout was also over 20 million dollars, which is again significantly higher than Haney vs Lomachenko.

According to reports, the fight between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko did around 150, 000 PPV buys. The numbers were very low given both Lomachenko and Haney made millions out of their fights.

With only one WBC lightweight belt on the line, the fight pulled more eyes than Haney vs. Lomachenko. The fight fans also question, “How is the boxing model sustainable if fighters make millions despite the low PPV numbers?”
Many fans claimed that the crowd was there to witness Lomachenko. They also added that Devin Haney does not deserve the millions of dollars for the crowd he pulled.
