Henry Cejudo returned to the UFC after a break of three years away from the sport of MMA. He competed for the bantamweight title against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288. However, it did not go his way, as Sterling outclassed Cejudo to retain the title. He attempted to turn quickly against Chito Vera at UFC 292 in Boston. However, he pulled out due to an injury to his right shoulder.

A video circulated recently of Henry Cejudo breaking down footage of Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez. However, Cejudo felt pain in his right shoulder during the breakdown, leading to the fight cancelation. The video clip posted by MMA Orbit went viral on Twitter, and fans chimed in with their opinions.

In 2021 and 2022, Cejudo started his YouTube channel to break down fights and give his prediction to his loyal fans. The channel has grown immensely, and the fans appreciate the knowledge of Cejudo. Many thought that Cejudo might retire after losing to Sterling. However, he vowed to return and compete once again for the title.

The fight against Chito Vera could have put the former champion among other top contenders. However, he will have to wait further to return to the octagon. It remains to be seen if the UFC decides on another opponent for Vera instead of Cejudo or if Vera is willing to wait for the former champion. However, as it stands, there is no new fight announcement at the moment.

Cejudo will not fight in the Boston PPV card. He will have to wait longer to return back to the octagon. Cejudo could land the title fight if he gets a two-fight winning streak in the bantamweight division.
