“Never brought up skin color” – Fans in turmoil as ‘racist’ Israel Adesanya calls white opponent ‘cra*ker’ in furious rant

Israel Adesanya is one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster. He is currently the UFC middleweight champion of the world. He is regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport. The fighter boasts a record of 24 wins and 2 losses in the UFC. The ‘Last Stylebender’ has fought tough competitors and emerged victorious against fighters like Alex Pereira and Robert Whittaker. Izzy’s technical striking and kickboxing skills have earned him the respect of his contemporaries.
At UFC 285, Dricus du Plessis was set to take on Derek Brunson. Prior to the fight, Du Plessis had made comments against fellow African UFC contenders. The fighter was asked about a UFC title win dedicated to his country. ‘Stillknocks’ rebutted the question and mentioned that his win would be the first that is dedicated to Africa. He also said that the title win had only gone to New Zealand and America. He did not mention the names of the fighters in the press conference. However, fans connected the dots and found out it was Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman.
This angered the ‘Last Stylebender.’ On his YouTube channel, Izzy said he felt disrespected by the comments made against him. It was a surprise to fans as they saw an Adesanya highly enraged for the first time. The fighter also mentioned that he wanted to fight Dricus du Plessis due to the disrespectful comments he made at UFC 285.
This sparked a lot of outrage among the community. Fans immediately took to different social media platforms to call Israel Adesanya a racist. The ‘Last Stylebender’s use of the word ‘cr*cker’ did not please the MMA fans.
Fans enraged at Israel Adesanya for his use of the word ‘cr*cker’
On his YouTube channel, Israel Adesanya uploaded a video talking about his next ventures. Toward the end, he had a few words for Dricus du Plessis. “I have never questioned him [Dricus Du Plessis] as an African. Who the f*** is this cra*ker gonna tell me who the f*** I am.” He then added, “The fact that as a f****** cracker, to tell me who the f*** I am, that p*** me off.” “He’s next and I’m gonna f****** beat him till he’s black,” said Israel Adesanya.
This caused outrage within the community. Fans believed that Israel Adesanya was a racist due to the comments he made toward Dricus du Plessis. The fighter is yet to respond to these claims. One fan went on to tweet, “I like how black people can call white people derogatory names without anyone saying anything about it.“
Although Du Plessis restrained from naming any African fighters, fans connected the dots. And so did Israel Adesanya. The ‘Last Stylebender’ wants his next fight to be against Dricus Du Plessis in the middleweight division.
