This year has not been great for the MMA world. Following the UFC President Dana White slapping his wife incident on New Year’s Eve, rising featherweight, Ilia Topuria has been caught, involved in a bar fight in Spain. The video is doing rounds on the internet and fans are shocked to see the fighter go berserk.
Ilia Topuria is one of the most-fierce fighters on the UFC roster. The fighter is an exquisite hitter and it has earned him a lot of respect in his recent UFC bouts. MMA fans have had to deal with terrible news since the beginning of 2023. First, Dana White’s wife-slapping incident at a Mexico club, followed by former fighter, Phil Baroni allegedly killing his girlfriend, and now Topuria’s bar fight.
Security camera footage showed that the Georgian fighter was offended by a stranger’s actions which led to the brawl. Topuria was hanging out with popular Spanish singer, Omar Montes, when shit hit the fan at a bar in Spain. After Topuria decided to land brutal punches on the stranger, the singer joined his friend in the brawl.
Several reports on Twitter initially claimed that it was the two friends who got into a fight. It turned out, the two actually got together in beating up the strangers. The video has now gone viral on Twitter with fans reacting to the bar fight. Omar and Topuria have previously trained together.

Fans react to Ilia Topuria going to town during the bar fight
A trained fighter is the last person you want to pick a fight with at a bar. From what is shown in the security footage, it appears that the stranger was the one who was the instigator. Topuria went on to take the violent route.

People aware of the Spanish singer claim the video to be fake. Fans believe this security footage is part of a promotional video for a potential new song.

Ilia Topuria is coming off a dominating win against the undefeated Bryce Mitchell at UFC 282. “El Matador” is currently undefeated in his professional career with a record of 13-0. Doesn’t look like it’s a good idea to put UFC shows on halt given the kinds of trouble the community is getting into.
