Former middleweight champion, Sean Strickland is stirring up more controversy by mocking Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly on social media. This comes just a day after he confronted the couple at the Power Slap event.
Strickland took to Twitter to continue trolling the celebrity pair, asking if he needed to prepare wooden stakes and hollow point bullets to defend himself against them. This provocative post comes after Strickland exchanged heated words with Fox and Kelly at the Power Slap event. This is what he said:
Someone said "Be careful MGK doesn't like when you make fun of Megan" What does that even mean? Do I need to glue wood chips in hollow points? Do I need to carry a crossbow? Buy a wooden stake? Is this how I become the new blade?!?!Sean Strickland via X
This taunt comes after Strickland compared MGK to a vampire due to his gothic dressing sense. Strickland chose to stir the pot by suggesting Fox and Kelly are pretending to be supernatural creatures. He joked about carrying crosses and stakes, mocking Kelly’s emo rockstar persona.
The fiery UFC brawler is no stranger to controversy. His previous insensitive remarks have alienated fellow fighters and drawn critique from them. But Strickland refuses to filter his opinions, even when it comes to baiting celebrities. The tense Power Slap standoff coupled with Strickland’s follow-up trolling hints that this beef may continue boiling. Strickland won’t hesitate to ridicule Fox and Kelly online, though his comments may only incite their loyal fans.
How did the beef between Sean Strickland and MGK start?
Sean Strickland and musician Machine Gun Kelly crossed paths at a recent Power Slap event in Las Vegas. This was the beginning of their animosity. The video shows Strickland confronting MGK and insulting his appearance at a Power Slap competition.
‘Tarzan‘ can be heard in the clip calling MGK “weird” and criticizing his outfit. Strickland shouts that he’s “easy to find” and refers to MGK as a “vampire man,” as he walks away. This is presumably him mocking his goth-inspired style. MGK doesn’t appear to respond in the brief exchange.
The former UFC middleweight champion is known for his brash behavior and doesn’t hesitate to give his unfiltered opinions. Some may find Strickland entertaining. However, his petty feud with MGK is seen by many as mean-spirited and unnecessary. MGK has yet to respond to Strickland beyond the initial video encounter. The musician was likely trying to avoid an ugly confrontation at a public event. But Strickland seems intent on goading MGK into a response.
