Brendan Schaub praises Jake Paul for giving opportunistic fighters such as Nate Diaz the opportunity to earn millions of dollars. One of the biggest boxing events of this year was the Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul fight. After completing his contract with the UFC, it was Diaz’s first outing as a boxer, but the night didn’t go in his favor.
Paul outclassed Diaz ad won the fight via unanimous decision; however, it wasn’t that bad for Diaz as he got mocked by his fans, who loved him in bigger gloves. Overall, the event was successful and sold a lot of PPVs, and according to reports, Diaz made a whopping $20 million for the fight. Many estimated that this was more than what the Stockton native made in all those years he spent in the UFC.
Former heavyweight, Brendan Schaub recently took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the situation and mock the haters who still criticize Paul. He wrote: “Everyone Still mad at @jakepaul ? Who else is doing this for your fav UFC fighter 20 mill!.”
Paul has been one of the most prominent faces of boxing in the last few years and has a unique way of marketing himself that attracts a lot of attention. By fighting popular names with huge fan bases, Paul is able to bring in the numbers, which automatically results in great paychecks for both parties.
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn was impressed by the Nate Diaz vs Jake Paul event but couldn’t say the same about the fight

The fight between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul was very one-sided, with Paul destroying Diaz round after round. However, Diaz didn’t give up and used his toughness to survive till the end.
The Matchroom CEO, Eddie Hearn, recently did an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour Show and revealed that he liked the card but hated the main event bout.
He said, “It was awful. Don’t get me wrong, the event was unbelievable…The reason that Nate didn’t get stopped is that Jake didn’t have the ability. He doesn’t know how to break a fighter down, cut off the ring, beat him up, or stop him. But, I give my props to Nate: super tough. Super tough. But you’re talking about a low, low level in terms of standard.”
According to Hearn, Paul failed to drop Diaz down, and the UFC legend survived because of his chin. Hearn mentioned that the quality of the boxing was low, but overall the event and business were good.
