Karl Roberson, a former UFC middleweight fighter, currently faces trial after being found guilty of stealing $200,000 worth of jewels. Prosecutors accuse Roberson of crimes related to weapons and drugs, so the fighter is facing serious legal consequences.
The incident occurs on December 26, 2022, during a robbery of a private home in which expensive jewelry was stolen. It is unfortunate that a former UFC middleweight fighter like Karl Roberson faces such serious charges and that too related to weapons and drugs after his arrest.
Karl Roberson‘s arrest followed a motor vehicle stop in his hometown of Neptune. He was allegedly driving a vehicle that was connected to the burglary. Howell Police charge both suspects with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. Roberson was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and weapons offenses.
The police conduct a search in which Roberson gets caught with a defaced 9mm, package of illicit substances and items from the burglary. The potential consequences, if found guilty, are heavy and may affect his future in the sport.

Karl Roberson’s brief UFC career
Making his UFC debut in November 2017, Karl Roberson worked with the UFC for more than five years. After winning his first five fights in the promotion, “Baby K”, defeated Darren Stewart with a rear-naked choke in the first round of his debut fight.
Roberson contested ten fights for the UFC, but only four of them ended in victory. “Baby K” faced a variety of well-known opponents in the UFC, including Glover Teixeira, Marvin Vettori, Brendan Allen, and Khalil Rountree Jr.Karl Roberson walked away from the UFC with a record of 9-6.
Roberson’s last UFC fight came at the UFC Vegas 58 in July 2022, and ‘Baby K’ had lost his previous three fights, one by TKO and the other two by submission. That night, Karl Roberson competes in a three-round light heavyweight bout against Kennedy Nzechukwu. Roberson does not get a win and Kennedy eliminates Roberson by TKO in the third round.
