Francis Ngannou appeared in a promotional video for his boxing bout at the prestigious $2.3 billion Las Vegas Sphere. He did it before UFC CEO Dana White could host the next UFC Noche event. White mentioned his intention of hosting UFC Noche at the Las Vegas Sphere earlier. Its technological marvels and expansive capacity have made the arena famous.

Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury appearing on the Sphere hold significance as Ngannou left the UFC. Moreover, the UFC has tried to dismiss the accomplishments of the Cameroonian several times. Dana White himself criticized the deal the PFL did with Ngannou. The “Predator” fired back at the promotion for their tantrums. The promotional video will be a defining moment for both Ngannou and the Las Vegas Sphere. It leaves an indelible mark on the landscape of combat sports.

Dana White and the UFC tried their best not to let Ngannou go. However, the Cameroonian’s demand for fighter insurance and individual sponsorships did not align with the promotion’s policy. Sections of the MMA community bashed Ngannou for making a wrong move following the high-profile fallout. However, the subsequent signing by the PFL and the announcement of the boxing bout against Tyson Fury made the MMA community think back.

The promotional video was the boxing bout between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury. A victory against former UFC champion Ngannou would pave the way for Fury to transition into a match against Oleksandr Usyk seamlessly. They presumably scheduled the bout against Usyk for December or early January. If Fury emerges victorious against Usyk, he would be the first undisputed heavyweight world champion in the four-belt era.

Dana White wants the next UFC Noche to be hosted in the Las Vegas Sphere

The UFC CEO stole the spotlight during a Dana White Contender Series press conference. He did this by unveiling the organization’s ambitious plans for a groundbreaking event at the Las Vegas Sphere. With immense pleasure, White announced his intention to host the upcoming Noche UFC events at the Sphere. The promotion has already planned to include Noche UFC as an annual event.

UFC Noche 2023 was headlined by the women’s flyweight title bout between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso. Grasso retained the title via a split draw. The draw was controversial as one judge gave Grasso the final round a 10-8. The event was a huge success and was filled with fighters from Mexico or Mexican origin. The co-main event was a welterweight bout between Jack Della Maddalena and Kevin Holland. The event also saw the return of teenage sensation Raul Rosas Jr.

The announcement is a testament to the UFC’s forward-thinking approach. Mexico is a country rooted in boxing culture and has immense potential to be a hotbed for talented fighters. With Alexa Grasso being a champion from the region, the future looks bright for the promotion. Moreover, the promotion has a PI in the works in Mexico City.
