Francis Ngannou talks about Tyson Fury fight
Francis Ngannou is very confident that he can take on legendary heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury in a potential boxing match.
The dream heavyweight matchup between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou is getting very realistic as the day passes given both the giants have agreed to take on each other. Yesterday, undefeated heavyweight champ, Tyson took on his mandatory WBC challenger Dillian Whyte at the Wembley Stadium.
The arena was filled with 94000 people and all of them were treated to a knockout from Fury that put Dillian to sleep in the sixth round. A clean uppercut saw Whyte fail at the hands of The Gypsy King. Among the packed 94,000 people was a fellow heavyweight champion from UFC who stood tall plotting a potential super fight against Fury.
After beating Whyte, Fury welcomed Ngannou into the boxing ring to announce their upcoming hybrid boxing match. Francis said, “I want to find out who is the baddest motherf**ker in the planet.” Later, he spoke to BT Sport boxing to elaborate on his moment with Tyson in the boxing ring.
“We are close to get this done” Francis Ngannou on potential fight with Tyson Fury
“You know we have been talking about this, going back and forth for the past two years and I think we are getting close to get this done,” said Francis when asked about a date for their potential super fight. “I think I can beat everybody. It won’t be an easy fight basically in the boxing gloves but I can beat anybody,” said Ngannou on his chances against an elite boxer like Fury.
Ngannou’s future in the UFC still remains to be uncertain as the fighter is still in talks with the promotion over his contract negotiation. Francis and UFC had a falling out in the lead up to his last fight against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. Ngannou has now successfully defended his title and will be eyeing a boxing match for his next venture.
