Ciryl Gane defeated Tai Tuivasa in the third round

The Bon Gamin style prevailed in France as Ciryl Gane defeated the KO artist Tai Tuivasa at UFC Paris. The Heavyweight clash went down in the main event of the UFC Fight Night 209.

The two heavyweights were scheduled to go to war against each other for making their case for a shot at the title. Paris’ own Gane was a – 560 heavy favourite going into the fight while Tuivasa was a +430 underdog.

Although in the second round Gane suffered a brutal knockdown at the hands of Tuivasa. The MMA Factory‘s fighter was able to survive and come back into the fight. The body shots that the Frenchman landed eventually led to Tai’s slowing down which then led to a Knockout.

The Frenchman overcame adversity and stuck to his game plan to frustrate his opponent and poked his opponent with strikes from a distance. Gane who is considered one of the most technical fighters in the sport jabbed and kicked Tuivasa into frustration and exhaustion.
