Geoff Neal gets the job done at UFC Vegas 59
Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal are ready to throw down in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 59. The two talented welterweights veterans want to prove that they still got it.
UFC Vegas 59 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Fight Night event is headlined by an important light heavyweight bout between Jamahal Hill and Thiago Santos. In the co-main event, two welterweight veterans go at each other and want to show the world that they are still in the mix of the top-ranked 170-pounders of the division.
Luque is coming off a defeat to Belal Muhammad earlier this year. The Silent Assassin is one of the most exciting fighters in the division and is matched against the amazing Neal in a three-round fight. Geoff is coming off a victory against Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC 269, last year. Geoff has a record of 14-4 in his professional career and looks to continue his winning streak which might help him to get a fight against one of the top contenders in the division. Geoff Neal is the first man to knockout Vicente Luque
Round 1 Both the fighters take the center of the octagon. Geoff immediately lands a combination. A good body kick followed by Geoff. Neal looked real swift with his punches. Amazing work from Geoff here in the first round. Luque is a little hurt by Geoff’s amazing punches. Luque not landing a lot of punches as Neal looks very quick on his feet. Neal’s left-hand looks like a real problem for the Brazilian. Neal’s left hand looks like money at this event.
Vicente is dropped to the floor but manages to get back on his feet. Vicente has never been knocked out in his career. Geoff completely outclassing the Brazilian. Amazing shots from Geoff that puts Luque in weak legs. Vicente is in real trouble.
Round 2 Vicente looking to come back in the second round and throws some decent high kicks. Geoff, however still returning the favor. Amazing punches were traded between both the fighters. Neal almost gets a takedown but Vicente is immediately back up. The Brazilian is looking tired now. Better round for Luque as he lands some great elbows from the clinch. Very close round this.
Round 3 Luque finds success with his leg kicks. But Neal is looking unstoppable. Geoff’s left hand is crispy and Luque is hurt. Luque is wobbled and Geoff is going to town with his left hand. Neal shows no mercy and Vicente falls to the floor after taking a ton of damage. What a fight this is from Geoff Neal!!
