Arnold Schwarzenegger- Georges St-Pierre
It’s a human’s general curiosity to know the man who inspired your role model for achieving greatness. For Georges St-Pierre, it was none other than Hollywood actor, politician and probably the greatest icon of fitness in the last century, Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s right after St-Pierre defends his title for one last time in his last fight at the welterweight division against Johny Hendricks back in 2013 at UFC 167, St-Pierre is heading back to the team room and suddenly a child awakes in his expression.
On the way back, St-Pierre sees Schwarzenegger approaching him and before the latter could cover his distance, the Canadian ran and quickly kneeled down in front of the Hollywood icon. St-Pierre can be seen chanting “My Idol” repeatedly in different sentences. Both the legends hug and embrace each other. It was a moment earned by possibly the greatest MMA fighter of all time. St-Pierre didn’t return to the Octagon for 4 years after the fight involving this moment.
