Gilbert Burns

If UFC Welterweight Gilbert Burns couldn’t be respected more for not only taking a fight against a dangerous prospect in Khamzat Chimaev but also delivering an all-time great fight against the Swedish-Russian undefeated fighter, he has landed another great reason on the MMA community to speak highly of him. Burns, the former UFC title challenger is the #4 ranked welterweight in the world who started off as a lightweight when he entered the promotion.

Now, Burns is doing much better at welterweight. Despite a couple of setbacks in the form of losses against the current champion Kamaru Usman and in his last fight against Khamzat Chimaev, Burns is known for his wins over the likes of Tyron Woodley, Demian Maia, Stephen Thompson, and many more. A grappling specialist with amazing boxing, Burns is one of the most elite BJJ practitioners in the grappling circuit as he is a 4-time world champion under different names of competitions.
