“See that guy soon”- Gilbert Burns promises the second coming of his UFC 273 fight against Khamzat Chimaev
Gilbert Burns is confident in one more meeting with Khamzat Chimaev down the line
Gilbert burns looked unfazed by the hype of Khamzat Chimaev during their bout at UFC 273. This was seen in the final result and reaction to the fight where Chimaev was able to bag a close decision victory over the former title contender. This fight was an eye-opener for both fighters as Khamzat realized he still has a few flaws to perfect before he can take over the division while Burns at 34 walked away with the knowledge that he can still go toe to toe with the young lions of the sport
Perhaps it’s this realization that has Burns’ confidence in crossing paths with the undefeated Chechen somewhere down the line in time. Burns, who is 20-5 in his MMA career believe that he still has a path to the title even if it means facing his management and sparring partner Kamaru Usman once again.
