Gilbert Burns wants Glover Teixeira to defend his title against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 275. Glover is currently the light heavyweight champion in the UFC and is a UFC veteran. Glover made his UFC debut in 2012 and he has a professional record of 33 wins and 7 losses. Teixeira fought against Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title at UFC 267. Glover submitted Jan via a rear naked choke in the second round and became the oldest first time champion in the UFC history.

Glover will face Jiri Prochazka at UFC 275 on June 11. UFC is holding their first Pay-Per-View event in Singapore and Glover and Jiri will lead the event. Glover will defend his title for the first time against Jiri, who is currently ranked #2 in the light heavyweight division. Jiri made his UFC debut in 2020 and has a professional record of 28 wins and 3 losses. Along with Glover and Jiri, fighters like Valentina Shevchenko, Joanna Jędrzejczyk and Manel Kape will also fight at UFC 275.

Before his fight at UFC 275, Glover has received support from welterweight fighter Gilbert Burns, who, through his social media account, showed his support to a fellow Brazilian fighter. Glover was born Sobrália, Minas Gerais, Brazil and Gilbert was born in Niterói, Brazil. Hence, Gilbert has showed his support to his fellow Brazilian champion, and he believes he will successfully defend his title.

Gilbert Burns fought Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 273 and he believes Khamzat cannot beat Kamaru Usman. Khamzat Chimaev was hailed as one of the best welterweight despite fighting at top ranked fighter in the UFC. After his fight against Gilbert , many believes he still has a lot to learn and claims that he will defeat Kamaru Usman has gone.

Despite winning the fight, Khamzat Chimaev was tested by Gilbert Burns and gilbert believes Kamaru is on a different level compared to Khamzat. In his recent interview with MMA Fighting, Gilbert said that Kamaru is a better fighter than Khamzat and there is still a lot to improve for Chimaev before he can defeat Kamaru.

Gilbert said: “Kamaru, I think the IQ difference and IQ makes a lot of difference. I think Kamaru is very smart. He hits hard. Kamaru put me away. Three rounds, Khamzat couldn’t put me away. I think Kamaru does hit harder. I think Kamaru, the fight IQ with wrestling and striking is better than this guy. With the timing, the movement, with mixing things up, the feints, the angles, I think Kamaru is a level above this guy still.”
