Glover Teixeira, a former UFC champion, has offered some advice to his countryman Paulo Costa. Costa is a massive prospect in the Middleweight division. Eric Albarracin, Paulo Costa’s coach, gave him the nickname “The Eraser.” ‘Eraser,’ a film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, was the inspiration for the moniker. He was known as ‘The Eraser’ before he became recognised as ‘The Eraser.’
All of his victories have been finished, with nine in the first round and two in the second (one of which was a submission), including the thrashing of former Welterweight champion Johny Hendricks.
Costa, however, has recently been slacking in his work ethic. There’s nothing shameful about losing to one of the best pound-for-pound fighters, but the way the fighter accepted the loss was, and it made a negative impression on the MMA community, which despises fighters who refuse to accept defeat. Furthermore, in his most recent bout with Marvin Vettori, he missed weight by such a huge margin that the fight was forced to shift itself from Middleweight to Light-Heavyweight.
Glover Teixeira offers career advice to those who have been tainted by the system like Paulo Costa
Costa claimed he was inebriated on wine just hours before his title battle after his first professional defeat. To make matters worse, ‘The Eraser’ missed weight in his comeback bout against Marvin Vettori after a year off. Following allegations that Costa assaulted a nurse, Costa’s fellow countryman and UFC champion Glover Teixeira have offered some advice.
Glover Teixeira stated, in a recent interview “I believe ‘Borrachinha’ is too corrupted by Instagram and YouTube followers, maybe he wants attention to gain followers, like Jake Paul, “Honestly, look, he has more followers than me, right? Maybe that’s worth more money down the line, so who am I to talk? If that’s his goal, to gain more followers and be the Kim Kardashian of Instagram, he’s on the right path. Now, if his goal is to become champion, he has to leave the controversies aside and focus on training, diet, and what he wants.”
Paulo Costa will fight Luke Rockhold, the former UFC middleweight champion, in the Octagon in August. While, Glover Teixeira was submitted in the fifth round at UFC 275, making him lose UFC light heavyweight champion. With just 28 seconds remaining in the main event, Prochazka secured a rear-naked choke, bringing an end to an endlessly enthralling title bout.
