There have been many cases of UFC fighters getting into trouble with the law. Many fighters have achieved celebrity status, which leads to their crimes making headlines. However, the most recent case has to be the former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub recently gave his thoughts on the charges laid against Adesanya.

Schaub spoke about Adesanya’s drunk and driving case during an interview for his podcast. He believed that Adesanya had been on the top and under pressure for a long time and needed a break. However, Schaub continued by saying this behavior from Adesanya was unexpected. He said, “Were you just overtrained and needed a break or is this your typical behavior in camp, and we are just now finding out about it? You are drinking, having fun, and are still the baddest motherf**er, that’s impressive. Does he have a splash of Jon Jones in him? It makes him human.”

Schaub also talked about Adesanya’s performance at UFC 293 against Sean Strickland. He believed Adesanya was done with the pressure of being a champion and wanted to let go. However, Schaub has always appreciated Adesanya’s greatness and even faced backlash for it.

Schaub’s comparison of Adesanya to heavyweight champion Jon Jones was related to Jones facing drunk driving charges in 2020. However, there is no doubt that both fighters are two of the greatest to grace the Octagon. Fans will look forward to seeing Adesanya back in the ring soon.

Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones have squashed their beef

There is no doubt that both Adesanya and Jones are two of the greatest fighters in UFC history. However, the two were not always on good terms with each other. Both Adesanya and Jones were at each other’s throats when the two were exchanging barbs on social media. Adesanya had called out Jones often and also went personal, catching the legend’s attention.

However, the two fighters seemed to have squashed the beef between them when Adesanya posted a photo of them together on Threads. Despite this, the entire MMA community was shocked when Adesanya posted a photo of him and Jones wrestling. Adesanya later posted a video of them together again to reveal that it was just a joke.

However, a super fight between the two would have been a treat for MMA fans. There is no doubt that both fighters are dominant champions, and fans will look forward to seeing them together again soon.
