Henry Cejudo has been teasing his UFC return from the past few months and it seems the double champ wants to return to fight for the bantamweight title against Aljamain Sterling. Henry is among the best MMA fighters in the history of the sport and before his retirement, he was the bantamweight champion in the UFC.
Henry started wrestling before UFC and he also won an Olympic gold medal at the Beijing Olympics 2008. After Henry’s retirement, the bantamweight division of the UFC has grown a lot. After Henry, Petr Yan became the bantamweight champion, and he then lost to Aljamain at UFC 259 and since then, Sterling is the bantamweight champion. Henry retired in 2020 but has recently claimed that he will return to UFC to compete again and reportedly joined the USADA pool again to get a green signal to fight again.
Henry has been eyeing his return against Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title, and both fighters recently exchanged words on social media. Henry fired shots at Aljamain, starting an online battle between him and Aljamain and he recently replied to Aljamain’s tweet and claimed that he will knockout Aljamain in the octagon to win the bantamweight title. He said: “Hey Allshitstain… sign the contract. After I knock you out, I’ll put my gold medal around you so you know what it’s like to feel like a Real Champ.”

Aljamain Sterling is not shying away from the battle of words that he and Henry are having on the social media. After Henry claimed he will knockout Aljamain in the title fight, Aljamain respond to Henry and claimed that he had no chance of dethroning him. Henry once ruled the bantamweight division, but it seems the new champion is in no mood to let Henry bully him online.
Aljamain claimed that even Henry knows he had no chance of beating the current champ, and despite all the call outs, he would not win a fight against Aljamain. Aljamain said: “The funny part in all of this is that you know I’ll wreck you!” It seems Aljamain is sure that he will beat Henry Cejudo in a fight and his confidence has been high since his victory against Petr Yan at UFC 273.
