“Not at my level”- Henry Cejudo details grand plans of immortalizing himself as a 3-division champion

Henry Cejudo wishes to fight for both the bantamweight and featherweight titles
Henry Cejudo is among the greatest combat athletes to ever walk the face of this planet and that is despite his size. Cejudo’s intricate knowledge of the game mixed with his God-like wrestling acumen makes for a tough opposition regardless of weight class.
Cejudo’s knowledge was seen firsthand this year as many of his students including, Jiri Prochazka, Deiveson Figueiredo, and Zhang Weili have had incredible showings in their championship bouts. Add this to the fact that Jones is yet to perform this year and Coach Cejudo is undoubtedly having the year of his career.
However, now Henry Cejudo wants to press the brakes on his coaching career so as to get back to his competitive roots. Recently Cejudo re-entered the USADA testing pool and seems determined to retake his 135 belts. While a tough weight cut lies ahead of that, Cejudo’s primary intent is to have leverage and stake claim to a shot at the 145 Championship.
Henry Cejudo believes none in the 135 or 145 division can challenge his skills

At a recent interview with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Triple C announced that his return to the testing pool was not a drill in any sense and that he certainly believes in his abilities to transcend weight classes. He said, “I’m targeting 145 now. At the end of the day, the only reason why I’m going to 135 pounds is I’m going to beat these dudes and to eventually go up and become the first three divisional champ in UFC history.”
Cejudo believes his skill and confidence is on a different plain that the rest of the bantamweights and that is the reason he is so sure that his vision will come true. He said, “that’s the only reason why I’m going to 135 pounds, these dudes are not at my level, none of those dudes are at my level and they all know it so If I have to go down to 135 pounds to win my belt and challenges Alexander Volkanovski and that’s what I have to do”
Cejudo then went on to reiterate that with his resume and talent, anything short of a title would be a disappointment. He said, “My end goal Marc, as the Olympic champ, as the flyweight champ, and as the bantamweight champ, is to conquer what’s never been conquered, that’s to retain and claim that 145 pound belt “
As Cejudo prepares to make the move up to featherweight, the champion himself has hinted that he’s looking to jump a weight class. Volkanovski has staked claim to fight the winner of Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira in an early 2023 card. Volkanovski himself has been hinting that he too might go all the way up to welterweight to challenge for the title, a weight class he’s already fought at in the UFC
