“Maybe he can be my tune-up”- Henry Cejudo, open to locking horns with Jose Aldo upon his return
Jose Aldo, Henry Cejudo
Henry Cejudo is reportedly making a comeback, and other competitors in the bantamweight and featherweight divisions are concerned about him potentially stepping into a title battle. After UFC 273 in April, Henry Cejudo reportedly re-entered the USADA testing pool. That would put him in contention for a fight in October.
Henry is one of the few fighters who has held two divisional titles at the same time. Only 4 fighters have been double champs in the UFC: Amanda Nunes, Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, and Henry Cejudo.
Cejudo retired from the sport in 2020 after stopping the former Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz in the second round of the co-main event of UFC 249
Henry Cejudo’s return affects many fighters and one such fighter is Aldo. while asking for a title fight with Aljamain Sterling, Aldo called out Cejudo. He wrote: “The other one is a clown who faked his retirement just to try to raise his purse–as that did not work now he wants to fight for the title after spending 2 years out of the game (and out of the USADA’s pool).”
Henry replied to this callout on the latest episode of The Triple C & Schmo Show. Henry said: “All these guys know that the king is returning but Jose Baldo, he has to do what he has to do. He has to get that limelight too. But let’s keep in mind he got a title shot about a year and a half ago and he got destroyed.”
He added, “He literally got his face punched in. So yeah he might be right on some of the stuff that he was saying, but at the same time it’s like … you had your shot. You had a year and a half to do it and a year and a half ago you got your face punched in. I don’t know whether there’s room for him to talk but either way I wouldn’t mind Triple C vs. Jose Baldo. Who knows, maybe he can be my tune up.”

Henry Cejudo offers to train Jake Paul for MMA debut
Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo appears to have decided on a return to the octagon. According to Cejudo’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, Cejudo plans to re-enter himself into the USADA drug-testing pool after UFC 273.
Cejudo in his retirement has been training many MMA fighters including Jon Jones, Jiri Prochazka and flyweight champion Deiveson. The former two-division UFC champion now believes he can coach Jake Paul to become an MMA world champion.
Recently Henry went on Twitter and invited Jake Paul to train with him. Henry tweeted “@jakepaul, I’d love for you to come out to Phoenix and train with me at Fight Ready. If you’d rather tell me to F off, it’s all good. The offer’s on the table.”
Henry even talked about this on his show where he said: “Jake Paul, if you wanna come up and train with Triple C, I would be more than willing to help you and show you the skills of the trade. Now if Jake Paul tells me to F off, then it’s all good. This is just coming from my heart, man.”
