“Stuck to his game plan for 25 minutes”- Henry Cejudo praises Belal Muhammad on his victory
Belal Muhammad at UFC Vegas 51
The former two-division champion of the world Henry Cejudo is considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. He defeated Dominick Cruz in his last fight. Henry Cejudo is even vouching for a comeback against Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title.
Most recently Henry was in news for praising Muhammad for his victory against Vicente Luque. Belal Muhammad won the fight by unanimous decision. He used leg kicks to keep Vicente at bay and then aimed for the takedowns. Henry praised him for sticking to his game plan for the full course of the five-round fight.
“Imagine me at featherweight” – Henry Cejudo looks ripped, teases move to 145lbs
Henry Cejudo made it clear that he wants to get back into the UFC roster and fight for the belt. Ideally, he would love to take on the featherweight champion of the world Alexander Volkanovski. On his Twitter, he teased a return to the featherweight division of the UFC.
Although Henry might be confident of defeating Alexander, Alex made it clear in an interview given to MMAFightingonSBN that he is not taking Henry seriously and Cejudo needs to make himself relevant again to fight for the featherweight title. Alexander Volkanovski recently defended his title against the veteran ‘The Korean Zombie’ after knocking him out in the fourth round.
It’ll be a very interesting matchup if both of them face each other in the future. Capturing the third belt will be no easy feat for Henry. Cejudo will not just be the first to ever do so in history but will do so after coming off of a two-year break from MMA. He’d also be facing a champion in his prime and on a killing streak in Volkanovski.
