Henry Cejudo- Max Holloway vs Alexander Volkanovski

Combat sports legend Henry Cejudo has just given another well-thought breakdown of another exciting fight ahead this weekend. Cejudo, who was retired for 2 years, is now taking steps to make his return which is most likely to happen by the end of this year and most likely to be against the current UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling. Sterling is in the works to be scheduled against former champion TJ Dillashaw.

Cejudo last fought at UFC 249 back in April 2020 when he became the first person to knock out former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz. Between the time he retired, Cejudo found time in his love for coaching the upcoming/ongoing talent in MMA, which included coaching current world champion Deiveson Figueiredo, former champion Zhang Weili and light-heavyweight great Jon Jones. Cejudo also started a podcast alongside sports journalist Dave Schmulenson, titled The Triple C & Schmo Show.

In one of the episodes of his aforementioned podcast, Cejudo previews the trilogy fight taking place this weekend in the co-main of UFC 276, between the champion Alexander Volkanovski and the challenger Max Holloway. Cejudo uploaded a clip of the episode on his Twitter handle with the caption “You have to respect @BlessedMMA: If anyone at 145 pounds can defeat Volkanovksi, it’s him. But at the same time, Volk continues to improve. He gets the game.”

In the video, Cejudo says “It depends what Max Holloway comes out with, if he’s the same Max Holloway [who was defeated by Volkanovski the previous 2 times], we’re gonna see the same result… If Volkanvoski is going to the gameplan, he wrestles a little more in this fight or continues to take his legs, but it’s up in the air man…” he continues ending his thoughts with the aforementioned caption.

What do you make of Cejudo’s analysis of the trilogy fight between 2 of the best featherweights on the planet right now? In their last two fights respectively, both Holloway and Volkanovski proved why they are levels above the rest of the division? If Volkanovski gets the win, is he the greatest featherweight of all time?
