Henry Cejudo is making his return to the UFC octagon after nearly three years. On his pre-fight media day, Cejudo shared a teasing moment with a reporter.

Cejudo will fight Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288 as the bantamweights headline. The two had a heated exchange on the media day, but it was nothing that social media hasn’t seen before. What really amused people was when Cejudo hit back at one of the reporters during the pre-fight press conference.

Henry Cejudo last fought in May of 2020 at UFC 249 against Dominick Cruz. This fight against Sterling would be his comeback fight after nearly three years away from the octagon. A reporter asked Cejudo if he could tell him the heaviest weight he was at during retirement. Obviously, after three years, Cejudo wouldn’t remember the answer to such a question. But he shot back a rather amusing answer at the reporter, who was a little on the heavier side himself.

“I don’t know bro, enough to break the ice. Maybe a little lighter than you bro,” Triple C said. Everybody laughed, and it was a light humorous moment at the UFC 288 media day.

Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo is set to headline the main event at UFC 288. Sterling will be defending his title against Triple C, who is making his UFC comeback after nearly three years. Both fighters will go head-to-head in the octagon at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey later this week.

Even though Aljamain Sterling has a longer reach than Henry Cejudo, thanks to his height, Cejudo is well-experienced in fighting taller opponents. He makes up for the reach with his excellent grappling and striking skills. Henry Cejudo has been consecutively winning since 2017, so it will be interesting to see if his skills have rusted a little or whether he can still dominate his opponents in the ring.

Triple C has mentioned the probability of shifting to a different weight class. Cejudo told ESPN in an interview back in 2022 that he may take a shot in the featherweight division. While Cejudo makes his return to the UFC this week, it is to be seen whether he moves to the featherweight division to aim for a title bout against Alexander Volkanovski, who is the reigning featherweight champion.
