Henry Cejudo is a one time Olympic gold medalist that he won at the 2008 Beijing Olympics for men’s freestyle wrestling. Similarly, Shields is a two-time Olympic gold medal winner in Women’s amateur boxing. She won both the medals in the middleweight division in 2012 and 2016.
Shields had an impeccable boxing record and has achieved great success in the sport by winning multiple world championships in different weight classes. But the fighter has struggled since making her MMA debut in PFL last year. She is currently 1-1 and is looking forward to making things better. That’s the reason, Shields is training with Cejudo who is a highly decorated fighter in the sport.
After announcing his sudden retirement from UFC in 2020, Cejudo started training new athletes in the gym. Cejudo being a world-class wrestler his inputs are surely helpful for anybody. It’s not just new fighters who want to train with Cejudo. Seasoned fighters such as Jon Jones, Zhang Weili and Deiveson Figueiredo have also taken help from Cejudo for their fights.

Henry Cejudo recently posted a clip on his official Instagram account. In the clip, he can be seen training and giving useful advice to Claressa Shields.
Cejudo in the video was telling Shields to work on her head and feet movements to which Shields responded positively. Cejudo posted that video and captioned it by explaining two former Olympian and world champions training and doing GOAT things in the gym. He wrote :
“Just two Olympic and world champions Goating around today. Maaahhhh ???,”
Similarly, Shields also took to Twitter in order to share pictures of the training session with Triple C. She revealed that in 2 hours of training she learnt a lot from the former UFC double champion.
“Great 2 hours with Triple C @HenryCejudo ! Learned a lot! Just 2 olympic champs working! #GWOAT #tripleC #henrycejudo #mma,” she wrote.
Cejudo has revealed that training other fighters is helping him to make significant changes and improvements in his game. This could help him in his rumoured return to the UFC in future.
