Rafael Dos anjos vs Jorge Masvidal

Rafael dos Anjos surprised fight fans when he called out Jorge Masvidal for a fight after his win at UFC 272.

dos Anjos faced Renato Moicano at UFC 272 co-main event for a five-round catchweight bout. The fight looked pretty much one-sided as dos Anjos dominated his fellow countrymen on the ground for five rounds. The former lightweight champion didn’t give Moicano any chance to get his focus back in the fight. After five rounds of slaughter, dos Anjos was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

After his dominating victory over Moicano, dos Anjos did his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan. During the interview, the Brazilian talked about his fight, how he felt.

RDA revealed that stepping into the octagon after such a long time affected him a little. According to dos Anjos, the division is fully stacked and he is most experienced in them. The fighter explained that he wants Masvidal to win against Covington in the main event. He shared his interest in challenging Masvidal for that Baddest Motherf**** (BMF) title.

It’s been sixteen months since my last fight. I felt a little bit of ring rust but yeah man the division is crazy right now. I think I’m the guy that has the most hours of the octagon right now…. a lot of things going to change on the division I’m ready. Masvidal and Colby fighting right now, I wish Masvidal wins and I get to fight him for the BMF belt,” said dos Anjos.

The BMF title was introduced by UFC when Masvidal faced Nate Diaz at UFC 244. In the fight, the Miami native defeated Diaz to win the symbolic belt. Since then he hasn’t defended it once.

After that interview, in the UFC 272 main event, Masvidal failed to register a win against Covington. Now it’s hard to tell what’s next for the fighter. But it will be interesting to see if the ‘Gamebred’ reacts to the callout by dos Anjos.
