“You got dropped by a local hibachi chef” – Ian Garry BRUTALLY trolled for calling Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis ‘amateurs’

Sean Strickland vs. Dricus Du Plessis recently went down in UFC 297. Now, UFC welterweight Ian Garry has reacted to the fight highlights on his social media. With the beef between him and Strickland, ‘The Future’ hoped to see Strickland get knocked out. Although that didn’t happen, the fight went the distance, and pleasing to Garry, Strickland lost the fight.

Ian Garry, at first, said he wouldn’t bet against Dricus Du Plessis since he won over the credited Robert Whittaker. As such, he critiqued Sean Strickland as a lesser fighter when compared to ‘Whittaker and backed Du Plessis to get the win. Later, while watching the highlights, he slammed both the middleweights for their ‘sloppy boxing’ and called them ‘amateurs.’ Here is what he said:

There's no way I would've ever bet against Du Plessis losing this fight considering he mauled Robert Whittaker. And Sean Strickland isn't half the fighter Robert Whittaker is. Too sloppy boxing. Look, swinging. Look at this, the fu****g state of this. Zero technique, just slugging it out. Oh my god, I feel like I watching two amateurs fight. Oh my god! If I ever have a fight like that, please tell me to retire.

UFC 297 crowned a new middleweight champion in Dricus Du Plessis. However, many, including UFC CEO Dana White, criticized the judges’ decision to be controversial since the fight was very close. But ‘Stillknocks’ won the fight via split decision and became the first South African champion in the UFC.

Sean Strickland and Ian Garry ignited beef when the former bashed Garry and his wife earlier. Garry teased a potential fight between them in the future. As such, now, it looked like a possibility, considering Strickland lost his championship status. However, Garry has a fight scheduled against Geoff Neal for UFC 298. As for Dricus Du Plessis, he called out his rival Israel Adesanya for his first title defense.
