Garry said, “The policeman on shift came up to us beforehand, he said to my team when they were checking the barrow. He said, if he steps outside on the streets and hits pads, I’m gonna arrest him”. The Future was told that he would have to spend the night in jail if he did not comply with the officer. He had done such an exhibition for his fans and has promised such ‘Chaotic’ energy in his upcoming fights too.

“The Notorious” Conor McGregor once did the open workout in Boston in 2015. There are many similarities between Garry and McGregor. Garry showcased a flawless performance against Magny in Boston. His striking precision and the leg kicks put Magny in a disadvantageous position. Garry remains undefeated in his 13-fight MMA career.

There is little doubt that Ian Garry has had the night of his life. The welterweight remains undefeated in his MMA career and has momentum on his side. Garry’s bout against Neil Magny was a technical masterpiece. This proved he could even handle a fighter with double the experience. Although the absolute top of the division may still be too much for him, Garry can trouble the elite fighters in the division.

After his fight with Magny, Garry went ahead and called out Stephen Thompson. “The Wonderboy” ranks 7th in the welterweight division and is widely known for his striking skills. Garry is making sure he competes with the absolute best of the division. Just like his compatriot Conor McGregor, “The Future” is starting to become a phenomenal fighter.

This victory against Magny is now his 6th consecutive win in the UFC. He will get a higher-ranked opponent for his next fight if not Thompson. If he can defeat his next opponent, he remains one fight away from a title shot.
