Hasbulla Magomedov is good friends with Islam Makhachev and the Dagestan crew. He is also good friends with the UFC CEO, Dana White. Now, his appearance alongside Islam Makhachev in UFC 5 made the rounds on the internet. Magomedov was present when Makhachev won the title at UFC 280 against Charles Oliveira and also at UFC 294 against Alexander Volkanovski.

In the UFC 5 game, Magomedov was seen walking along with Islam Makhachev. It needs to be noted that his appearance in UFC 5 is a testament to his popularity. Magomedov is also acquainted with Nelk Boys and Sean O’Malley. He has also gained notoriety for his alleged mistreatment of his pet animal which is a cat. Many animal rights organizations criticized the Russian for his action.

Even though Islam Makhachev is closer to him, he is also acquainted with Alexander Volkanovski. Notably, Volkanovski even asked Hasbulla about who he will be supporting at UFC 294. It was during the pre-fight presser of the event. Makhachev would go on to win against Volkanovski via finish and Magomedov was present inside the octagon to support him. Notably, at UFC 280, Magomedov celebrated the victory on the shoulders of Khabib Nurmagomedov.

With the victory, Islam Makhachev has tied Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson for the longest win streak in the UFC’s lightweight division. He also has the second-highest win percentage in the UFC behind Khabib Nurmagomedov. A win in his next title fight would make his title defenses to 3. No fighter has defended the title more than 3 times in the UFC lightweight division.

Fans are heavily surprised to see Hasbulla with Islam Makhachev in UFC 5. The internet sensation walking alongside the lightweight champion sent the social media world into a frenzy. The MMA community’s reaction to it was fairly positive. However, a vocal minority did not approve of it mainly due to their hatred for Habulla for other reasons.

Magomedov’s friend, Islam Makhachev is looking to defend his title in early 2024. However, the venue has not yet been decided and is most likely not in the Middle East. Moreover, Volkanovski has a fight lined up against Ilia Topuria at UFC 297. Moreover, it remains to be seen whether Volkanovski will be medically cleared to fight at the event.
