There is no doubt that welterweight fighter Colby Covington is one of the most outspoken personalities in the UFC. He is known for his trash-talking abilities both inside and outside the ring. Covington recently called out UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev for producing boring fights. However, this caught the attention of the lightweight champion, who sent a befitting reply.

Covington recently gave an interview with MMA journalist James Lynch, where he spoke about a variety of topics, including a fight with Makhachev. He said, “He fights in a midgets division and has barely beaten midgets. That little m**goloid has been talking too much, and he should face a real man.” Makhachev took to Twitter, where he replied to Covington’s callout, writing, “Easy money.”

Mendez recently talked with Submission Radio, where he revealed Makhachev’s future. He believed that his student would 100% move to the 170-pound division in the future. He said that Makhachev wanted to clear out the lightweight division, then train hard and move up to welterweight. However, Mendez believed Makhachev’s final goal was winning the welterweight gold.
